Paving

We pave private yards, driveways, footpaths and parking areas. Every job starts with a site survey and a drainage plan — how the base is built and where rainwater goes decides whether the surface still holds its shape after a few winters. We lay concrete, clinker, granite and fieldstone paving, including patterns, accent lines and circular work, and close every area with kerbs so the edges cannot spread.

Landscaping

Landscaping is everything around the paving: shaping levels, building planting beds, preparing lawn, crushed stone strips along house foundations and surface water drainage. These are often the works that decide whether a property looks finished. We also build concrete slab paths, timber edging and planting zones, matched to the paving already laid.

Commercial site construction

On commercial sites, load and schedule are what matter. We build parking areas, access roads and pedestrian zones that carry heavy machinery or steady footfall every day. That means a deeper base, harder wearing paving types and linear surface water drainage. We also work in apartment block courtyards, including platforms for semi-underground waste containers.

Gabion structures

Gabions are steel baskets filled with stone that hold a slope while reading as a stone wall. We use them for retaining walls, boundary structures and bank reinforcement beside ponds and ditches, where an ordinary fence would not take the pressure of the ground behind it. The slope is covered with a coir erosion mat until grass roots take hold.

Terrace construction

We build timber terraces and seating areas — against the house, beside a pond, or as a separate zone in the garden. The deck sits on a prepared base so it does not settle over time, and is tied into the rest of the site with paving or a fieldstone edge.

Fire pit areas

A fire pit is a small but highly visible piece of work: a circular area of granite setts with a fire ring at its centre. We set the pattern to follow the circle, close the edge with a kerb, and fit the area into the wider garden layout.

How the work runs

1. Survey and quote

We visit the site, assess the ground, levels and drainage, and only then prepare a quote. An accurate price cannot be given without seeing the site.

2. The base

We strip the topsoil, build a crushed stone base and compact it in layers. None of this is visible in the finished job, and all of it decides how long that job lasts.

3. Laying

Paving is laid to a line, with kerbs, steps and drainage channels built in as the work goes.

4. Handover

Joints are filled, the surface is compacted and the site is left clean.

Frequently asked questions

How much does paving cost?

It depends on the area, the paving chosen, the state of the existing ground and how much drainage the site needs. We quote after seeing the site, so the figure is a real one rather than an estimate.

What time of year can paving be laid?

From early spring to late autumn, as long as the ground is not frozen. The calendar is usually more open at the start and the end of the season.

How long does paving last?

A properly built paved surface lasts decades. The base and the drainage decide it — most failures come not from the paving stone itself but from what sits underneath it.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes. We work on everything from a small private yard to a large commercial site.

Can paving be laid over an existing surface?

Usually not. The base needs to be rebuilt for the surface to stay level over time. We decide that after seeing the site.

Where do you work?

We work throughout Latvia: Riga and its surroundings, the Bauska and Iecava areas, and other municipalities. Projects outside Latvia are considered case by case.
